The medical front desk process is a complex interplay between doctors, hospitals, patients, and insurance companies. Since many parts of the front desk job are a repetitive manual process, we wanted to improve the key areas with a seamless front desk web experience.

Introduction

When a patient has an upcoming appointment, an email is triggered to inform the patient of their appointment type, time, and to begin the front desk web experience.

Step 1

The patient's basic information as well as the primary and secondary insurance information is gathered.

Step 2

If there are additional lab tests that are needed the patient will have the ability to schedule the appointment.

Step 3

The patient will be able to see the estimate before the appointment so they will have a better understanding of how much it will cost them. The patient will also have the ability to pay ahead if they choose to.

Step 4

The patient will be asked any questions related to the appointment, they will also be able to learn more about the procedure and the location of the appointment.

Step 5

The patient has the ability to check into their appointment once they have arrived and pay for their appointment if they haven't done so already.
